Tracy McLellan brings over 30 years of experience working with individuals, particularly those navigating the challenges of disability. She is highly motivated and passionate about helping others succeed, a drive rooted in her studies at the University of New Brunswick and the Nova Scotia Teachers College. Tracy continues to expand her expertise by taking specialized courses in related fields to stay at the forefront of inclusive practices.
Her extensive professional background spans several vital organizations and settings. Tracy has provided essential support for post-secondary students through Autism Nova Scotia and worked within Independent Living Support (ILS) for STEPS on Arthur. Her experience further extends to working with the Canadian National Institute for the Blind (CNIB), as well as dedicated time spent working in group homes and school environments.
In addition to her professional roles, Tracy is a committed advocate and community leader. She serves as the Vice Chair for the Regional Accessibility Committee for Truro and the surrounding area, and as the Vice Chair of the Board of Directors for the non-profit Lemon-aid Stand Society. She also volunteers her time with the Truro Chapter of Autism Nova Scotia, assisting with various fundraising events.
Living with a disability herself, Tracy understands firsthand the need for diverse and adaptable approaches to learning. She is adept at finding creative strategies to help individuals achieve their goals and overcome systemic barriers. Driven by this mission to provide positive support, she founded Amplify Learning in 2024, serving as the CEO (Chief Empowerment Officer). When she is not working, Tracy enjoys wheeling on her side-by-side or spending quality time with her family.
